Description

Little four drawer chest made in Japan, possibly in the 1980s though perhaps a bit later. Known there as a haribako tansu, or a sewing chest, it's just as suitable as a trinket caddy or jewellery box. Wooden construction, possibly kiri wood; ply in the drawer bases. Metal drop handles, bevelled drawer fronts, plinth below. Condition is pretty good structurally; cosmetically there's the odd scuff and mark, mostly from old labels. Dimensions: 30cm wide x 22cm x 32cm high
